Mayor sets deadline for youth association
YOUNGSVILLE- With the Youngsville Sports Complex set to open in early 2014, Mayor Wilson Viator gave the Broussard Youngsville Youth Association two weeks to decide if it will play its baseball games at the new complex.
Viator said the city met with the group 45 days ago and offered them the opportunity to use its new, state of the art facility for $10 a child.
BYYA charges $80 a child for baseball registration and plays at its facility, which hasn't been updated in some time. If BYYA does not accept the terms, the mayor says the city will consider forming its own youth organization.
