Mayor-President Kip Holden and his wife Lois led a three-mile bike ride this morning around the University Lakes.

Family Bike Day is is part of the Mayor's Health City Initiative that promotes healthy eating and an active lifestyle.

Today is the first of a two-day bicycle festival at City Park hosted by Baton Rouge Advocates for Safe Streets.

On Sunday the event begins at noon and ends at 5 p.m.
