Mayor Holden to speak on Alive Project
Mayor-President Kip Holden will hold a news briefing on Monday, September 28th to discuss the Alive Project proposed for downtown Baton Rouge. The news briefing will also address other issues related to the $901 million bond proposal. Joining the Mayor at the news conference are expected to be a number of area officials and the CEO of the Audubon Nature Institute.
Earlier this week questions surfaced as to who controlled the land where the proposed Alive Project would be built - the railroad or the state. Mayor Holden is expected to talk about that. He has said there are no problems that are insurmountable.
The bond issue is set for the November 14th ballot.
