Stroking for Stroke today
BATON ROUGE - The American Heart Association is celebrating Stroke Month with Stroking for Stroke. Roxanne Bingham with Baton Rouge General Medical Hospital visited 2une In Tuesday to talk about stroke and the event.
Stroke is the #4 killer in Louisiana and can lead to long-term disability. Just in Louisiana alone, heart disease and stroke claim more than 10,000 lives a year.
That is just some of the information that the AHA will discuss at Stroking for Stroke. You can join them on Thursday at the LSU Lakes from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. BREC will be on-hand with kayaks.
