Prayer Walk: Baker Civic Pride and Neighbors United for a Better Baker are hosting a prayer walk. The walk starts at 8 a.m. at the Municipal Building at 3325 Groom Road. Following the walk there is free breakfast and a program at the Municipal Auditorium.

MLK Service: The service is presented by the East Baton Rouge Parish Minister's Conference and a mass choir of youth from from around the area. The service is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church at 9700 Scenic Highway.

Old South Baton Rouge Home Rehabilitation: Volunteers with The Center for Planning Excellence is partnering with LSU Office of Multicultural Affairs to paint homes on Thomas H. Delpit and build a vegetable garden at Polk Elementary. The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
