NEW YORK- Marilyn Monroe is still fetching in pictures and in profit. Tens of thousand of negatives of her and other celebrities taken by Milton Greene sold at auction for almost $2-million. The collection includes 3,700 negatives and slides of Monroe. Profiles in History auction house says the highlights included a collection of color transparencies of Monroe with Sir Lawrence Olivier from the movie "The Prince and the Showgirl", which sold for $42,000. Slides from the movie "Bus Stop" sold for $39,000. The seller is a collector who bought the archive ten years ago but the buyers were not identified. Greene is credited with elevating fashion photography to fine art.
