Mardi Gras teen curfew
NEW ORLEANS - New Orleans police are enforcing a new curfew for teens during Mardi Gras this year.
No one under 16-years-old is allowed to be alone and to be without adult supervision in the French Quarter after 8pm.
So far during this Mardi Gras season New Orleans Police have arrested 170 teens in the French Quarter which is about 20 percent of all Mardi-Gras related arrests.
Police admit it is tough to enforce the new curfew in a huge Mardi Gras crowd.
Teens are often the victims of crime as well as perpetrators of crime in the French Quarter according to police.
