MAP worker killed in Monday crash
BATON ROUGE- A man killed on the I-10 Mississippi River Bridge Monday worked for the state Motorist Assistance Patrol, known as MAP.
State transportation leaders said the employee was called to the westbound lanes of the bridge to remove debris. He was killed in a two-vehicle crash. Details of the crash have not been released.
The incident closed I-10 westbound between the I-10/I-110 split and LA 1 for hours between Monday morning and mid-afternoon.
