New Orleans authorities are seeking the identity of a body found in drainage canal.

Coroner's office Chief Investigator John Gagliano said that the body was discovered about 3:30 p.m. Saturday and that the man had drowned earlier in the day.

He said foul play is not suspected.

Gagliano tells The Times-Picayune that the man appeared to be between 40 and 50 years old and was fully clothed.
