Police in Nashville say a 91-year-old man with dementia shot his caregiver daughter, critically wounding her while she assisted him using the bathroom. A .22-calibre revolver was recovered from a shoebox next to the man's bed. Patricia Crull called 911 and reported she had been shot and officers found her with a wound in the abdomen. Her father, Freeman Stafford, appeared to be unaware of the shooting and was taken to a hospital for treatment and evaluation.
