Man wanted in ten-hour kidnapping
BATON ROUGE- Police are searching for a 23-year-old, accused of kidnapping a woman and her two children this week.
DeAndre Gautier is wanted for kidnapping, battery, assault and weapons charges. Detectives believe he smashed into the victim's apartment on East Brookstown and waited until she came home from work.
The victim said she got home from work about 2 a.m Tuesday and noticed her door was broken. When she tried to leave, she said, Gautier chased her with a weapon. She said he forced her back into the apartment where they were held for ten hours until he left.
At one point, the victim said her sister came to the apartment and confronted Gautier and she was beaten and threatened.
