HAMMOND - One person was arrested and police are looking for another suspect in connection with the death of a Southeastern Louisiana University graduate student who was shot inside his apartment.

Police say narcotics fueled the shooting that left 23-year-old Raphael Garrison dead. Lt. Vincent Giannobile said police found Garrison lying on the floor of his apartment.

Investigators arrested Richard Hudson, 20, and he will be charged with murder. Hudson was booked into the Hammond jail and will be transported to the Tangipahoa Parish prison.

The Hammond Police are currently looking for the second suspect, Terry Michael Landry, 20.
