BATON ROUGE - Authorities with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office have arrested a man who allegedly stabbed his wife to death and injured two other people.

Deputies say 49-year-old Michael Vallery was charged with first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder for the death of 51-year-old Stefanie Vallery and stabbing two others.

The incident happened at 13155 Honey Dr. on November 18th. Police say Michael and Stefanie were not together at the time and Stephanie was preparing to file for divorce.

Investigators revealed that the two had gotten into a verbal argument but, during the altercation, Michael left the residence.

He then returned through the bedroom window with a knife and stabbed the victims in the living room of the home. Witnesses say he left the house but then returned to stab the deceased several more times before fleeing.

One woman was transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition. The other woman was treated at the scene.
