Police are searching for a man wanted for second degree murder.

21-year-old Jarrett Edwards is wanted in connection with the shooting death of 55-year-old Michael Banks. Banks was found shot to death in the 2600 block of Laurel Street last Saturday around 8:20 p.m. The initial investigation indicates the shooting may have been drug-related.

Anyone with information on Edwards’ whereabouts is urged to contact the Homicide Division at 225-389-4869.
