A man is wanted after authorities said he held another man up at gunpoint, stole his truck then raped a woman who was inside.

Police said 27-year-old Kevin D. Thomas, Natalbany, approached the other man on Highway 1064 as that man was putting a female friend’s bike in the back of his truck after offering her a ride. Thomas told the man to back away from the truck, then got in and drove away with the woman still inside.

Authorities said Thomas raped the woman at gunpoint. As she fought to get away and out of the vehicle, he reportedly fired one shot at her. She then ran to safety and contacted police.

Thomas is wanted on charges of aggravated rape, aggravated kidnapping and carjacking.
