Man wanted for afternoon bank robbery on Coursey Blvd
BATON ROUGE – Deputies say one man is on the run after robbing a bank at gunpoint on Coursey Blvd. Thursday afternoon.
According to East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Casey Hicks, the incident happened at the United Community Bank around 3:26 p.m. The armed man fled the area on foot toward the Sherwood Common Blvd with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Investigators described the suspect as a man wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The suspect had red cloth covering his face and a black and silver handgun. He was also seen carrying a red and black book sack.
