Man wanted for 30 vehicle break-ins in EBRSO
BATON ROUGE - Sheriff's deputies accused a man Wednesday of being part of a crew which broke into more than 30 vehicles in East Baton Rouge Parish last month.
Deputies said an arrest warrant had been obtained for 29-year-old Darius Fisher for simple burglary. Investigators said he was one of five people who broke into unlocked cars in the Azalea Lakes subdivision to steal money and valuables, including firearms.
Investigators said Fisher was caught on home surveillance video set up by people living in the neighborhood after the break-ins started in early December. Deputies said the video was from one of ten break-ins which happened overnight from Dec. 30 to 31.
Deputies said another of the crew who had been previously arrested identified Fisher as one of the people in the surveillance video.
Investigators said they're still working to identify the three other thieves seen in the video.
