Man swallows drugs in attempt to hide evidence from detectives
GONZALES - Deputies arrested a man for having a multitude drugs in his car on Tuesday.
The Ascension Sheriff's Department says 44-year-old Loyce Beck of Gonzales swallowed some of the Xanax pills in his car in attempt to hide the evidence from narcotic detectives who pulled him over.
Detectives found other drugs as well including heroin, marijuana, cocaine and meth.
Deputies learned Beck was also wanted for domestic abuse battery and damage to property in a separate incident.
He was sent to the hospital and arrested into parish jail for those charges along with drug possession and distribution charges. His bond is set at $105,497.
