A man suspected of abducting a grandmother in a suburban New Orleans park and killing her in 2006 has been arrested in Mexico.
Edmundo Cerda-Anima is the suspect in the 2006 killing of Allessandra "Sandra" Adams.
She was abducted from Lafreniere Park in Jefferson Parish, sexually assaulted and struck by a vehicle.
Deputies say Cerda-Anima will be targeted for extradition to Louisiana - and will face a first-degree murder charge.
Cerda-Anima was a carpenter who came to the New Orleans area to work after Hurricane Katrina.
