Man stabbed in candy cane attack
BATON ROUGE - Police say a candy cane lawn decoration was a man's weapon of choice after an argument on Christmas Eve.
The man is accused of ripping the yard ornament out of the ground on East Garfield Street and started swinging it at another man, who then pulled out a knife and stabbed him.
The 37-year-old man was transported to a hospital with serious injuries, but he is expected to survive. The other person involved has not been arrested.
