Man stabbed, found dead in front yard
LABADIEVILLE - Assumption Parish sheriff's deputies are investigating the slaying of a man whose body was found in his front yard in Labadieville.
Deputies responded to a call Tuesday saying that the man, later identified as 20-year-old Daquan Rainey, was lying in a yard.
Waguespack said Rainey had a small stab wound.
Deputies say Rainey had recently moved to Assumption Parish with relatives and was a former resident of Houma.
A reward of $1,000 is being offered by the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office for information leading to an arrest in the case.
