BATON ROUGE - Sheriff's deputies are looking for a man seen stealing guns from the Sullivan Road Walmart in East Baton Rouge Parish earlier this week.

Casey Hicks with EBRSO said on June 7 the man came into the store twice, at 3:40 a.m. and 5:27 a.m., and stole a Remington shotgun and a Marlin rifle from the sporting goods section.

Hicks said surveillance video showed the man put enough pressure on the locked glass gun display to reach inside and take the guns. He then put them down his pants, left through the gardening section and dropped them on a curb before returning with a white truck to take them.

The video showed the man wearing changed clothes between each theft. The first time he was wearing a dark shirt with a "Kool-Aid" smiley face on it and dark pants, and for the second theft he was wearing a jacket with stripes on the sleeves, a red "Elmo" shirt and dark pants. The truck he was driving was a white pickup with a crew cab of undetermined make and model.

Anyone with information about the thefts or the identity of the suspect should call the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office at 225-389-5000. You will remain anonymous, and could be eligible for a cash reward.
