Man shot to death on Mid-City porch in New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS - New Orleans police say a 23-year-old man was shot in the head and killed at midday on a Mid-City front porch.
Police say the coroner will release the man's name after relatives are notified.
The coroner's spokesman did not return a call Sunday from The Associated Press.
Officer Garry Flot says the man was on the front porch of a home on D'Hemecourt Street when he was shot shortly before 1 p.m. Saturday. He was dead when police arrived.
Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call police or call or text Crimestoppers.
