BATON ROUGE- A man died after he was shot in the head outside a gas station in Baton Rouge. The shooting happened Friday night in the 2100 block of Starring Lane.

Baton Rouge Police identified the victim as 20-year-old Latevin Bankston.

Baton Rouge Police say Bankston and two friends were talking to a woman inside a gas station store. The woman left the store and got into a car with the suspect. Bankston and his friends left the store and got in their car. The suspect started shooting at the three men, and then drove off, according to police.

The two people in the car with the Bankston were not injured and drove him to the hospital.

The shooting is under investigation. Police have not released the name of the suspect or a motive in the shooting.
