BATON ROUGE- Police are investigating the shooting death of a man on Appleton Ave.

David Atkins, 27, was killed walking along the street.

Investigators said he and another person where targeted by a gunman in a car. The other person walking with Atkins was not hit.

Atkins died at the scene.

Police do not have a motive or suspects in the case.
