BATON ROUGE - A man is fighting to survive after he was shot at an apartment complex early Friday morning.

Police found the victim in the 1800 block of Plank Rd. at Jefferson. The 33 year old man was transported to a local hospital after he was shot in the face.

Investigators say the shooting took place at the Capital Square Apartments on North 17th street just after midnight.

Police have not named a suspect or possible motive in the shooting at this time.
