BATON ROUGE - A 42-year-old Denham Springs man has been sentenced to nearly four years in federal prison after admitting he defrauded Fidelity Bank of more than $1.2 million.
The Advocate report Steve Harold Loga was ordered by U.S. District Judge Frank J. Polozola to begin serving a 46-month prison term on March 26.
Polozola also ordered Loga to pay restitution of $1.2 million to Fidelity Bank for his guilty plea to charges of bank fraud and money laundering.
Loga was president, owner and operator of Warehouse Food Group LLC, a Baton Rouge shrimp distributor with sales throughout the nation.
Loga admitted that he submitted approximately 90 false invoices before his company went out of business in late 2008. Fidelity Bank lost more than $1.2 million because of the fraud.
