LIVINGSTON – A man accused of raping a young relative in Livingston Parish pleaded guilty today to lesser charges.

Lacassin was accused of raping a young relative in 2005; the district attorney’s office said they made today’s plea deal after consent from the victim.
A judge sentenced Lacassin to 25 years in prison, and he will be required to register as a sex offender when he is released.
