A Winnfield man who pleaded guilty in January to possession of child pornography has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison.

David Lamar Cannon was arrested by state police and Winn Parish sheriff's deputies in January 2009 for possession of child pornography.

After his release from prison, Cannon will be supervised for the rest of his life.

One of the conditions of his supervised release is that he remain under a curfew in his own home from 2 p.m. to 8 a.m., every day, for the rest of his life.

State police investigators have said that the images discovered on Cannon's computers were "some of the most horrifying and sickening images ever seen."
