Man sentenced in double manslaughter in Opelousas
A 24-year-old man from Prairieville will serve two 28 year jail terms concurrently after pleading guilty to two counts of manslaughter.
Blake Cannon Reine was involved in a hit-and-run crash in Opelousas. He fled the scene and led a police officer on a chase. That's when he ran a red light and crashed into another car.
His passenger, Jody Reine, and the driver of the car he hit, Joseph Campbell, were killed in the crash.
