A 48-year-old Greenwell Springs man has been sentenced to a federal prison term of nearly five years after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography.

Richard Paul Roy Jr. signed a statement Thursday in which he admitted he knowingly possessed 360 computer and video images of "minors in sexually explicit conduct."

Roy was sentenced to a prison term of 57 months and 10 years of post-prison supervision by federal officers.
