Man runs stop sign, killed in crash
LOTTIE - State police are investigating a crash that killed a man in Pointe Coupee parish.
Officials say it happened early Sunday morning at the intersection of US hwy 190 and LA hwy 81.
Police say Michael Jarreau, 43, ran a stop sign at that intersection and t-boned a tractor-trailer. Jarreau was killed and the other driver was uninjured.
Officials say Jarreau wasn't wearing his seat belt and it is unknown if he was impaired.
