Man pleads guilty to manslaughter
A 25-year-old Baton Rouge man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the 2006 shooting death of a 21-year-old man and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Ivan Justin Dyer was charged with second-degree murder in the killing of Ulysses Calvey.
Authorities said Dyer shot Calvey while the two played video games together on April 4, 2006.
Prosecutors said Dyer claimed he shot Calvey after Calvey made sexual comments about Dyer's wife. Dyer shot Calvey twice in the head at Dyer's mother's home.
