Man killed while riding motorized skateboard
COVINGTON - Covington police say a 31-year-old man died when he fell off his motorized skateboard.
Chief Tim Lentz said in a news release that Jerry Siles Jr. was riding his gas powered skateboard Sunday afternoon when he lost control and was thrown to the ground.
Lentz says Siles was not wearing a helmet.
He says Siles was taken to St. Tammany Parish Hospital and later transferred to North Oaks Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
