Man killed in New Orleans, found in Slidell
NEW ORLEANS - Authorities say a man whose body was found Sunday morning in the trunk of a car in Slidell was killed in New Orleans' Gentilly neighborhood.
John Gagliano, of the Orleans Parish Coroner's Office, said 18-year-old Kenneth Young was shot to death late Saturday or early Sunday.
A Slidell Police Department spokesman said officers were called about 8:30 a.m. Sunday to investigate a car.
Young's body was found in the trunk.
New Orleans Police joined the investigation after Slidell police learned Young had ties to New Orleans.
Although New Orleans police have identified the location where Young was shot, the department has not said how it came to that conclusion.
