BATON ROUGE - A 52-year-old man is dead after crashing a motorcycle Saturday morning, according to East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Casey Hicks.

Hicks says Edward McCabe was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at the intersction of S. Tiger Bend Rd. and Hoo Shoo Too Rd. around 4:00 a.m.

Deputies report that the 2001 Yamaha motorcycle began skidding and sliding on the roadway, and the driver was ejected from the motorcycle.

The incident is under investigation, and deputies are awaiting toxicology reports from the coroner, according to Hicks.
