BATON ROUGE - Police identified a man killed Tuesday night in Baton Rouge after he was hit by as SUV while riding his bike.

Police said Jason Michael Stablier, 27, rode his bicycle into traffic in the 4900 block of Perkins Road near Congress Blvd. around 10:30 pm.

Police said Stablier was not wearing a helmet, and died at the scene. The driver of the SUV was not hurt, and police said they do not suspect alcohol to be a factor in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation. News 2's Adrian Pittman will have an update tonight.
