A man bragged to a store clerk in Michigan that his 9-year-old daughter was his designated driver when he went into a gas station.
Surveillance video from the station shows him getting out of a van with his daughter and the comment is on tape.
He told an unseen clerk that she was driving him because he had been drinking. Police say the girl was sitting behind the wheel in a booster seat when they stopped the van and opened the driver's door.
They say she asked why they were being stopped. The father refused a breath test and was later charged with child abuse.
