A 57-year-old Lafayette man has pleaded guilty to a manslaughter charge after setting his girlfriend on fire in August 2007.
Wilbert Clark Jr. was sentenced to 40-years in prison for the death of Sandra Anderson, whom he set on fire at the couple's home.
Attorneys for Clark say he poured gasoline on the bed while Anderson was sleeping, lit the fire, and then rode his bicycle to the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office where he confessed to the incident.
