A 44-year-old Baton Rouge man has received the maximum sentence of 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter in the 2008 stabbing death of a 36-year-old man.
Johnel Matthews was accused in the death of Larry Brown Jr. on June 15, 2008.
Authorities say Matthews allegedly stabbed Brown because he thought Brown was seeing his girlfriend.
