BATON ROUGE - Police released the name of a man found shot to death in a Baton Rouge vacant lot early this morning.

Cpl. L'Jean McKneely said police found Otis Deon Kinchen, 36, in the 1200 block of Convention Street around 1:30 a.m.

McKneely said officers responded to calls of shots fired in the area, and found Kinchen's body in a vacant lot.

He said detectives have not determined the motive for the shooting at this time. Anyone with information should contact BRPD Homicide at (225) 389-4869.
