JEFFERSON, La.- Louisiana state troopers are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in pickup truck near a Jefferson Parish levee.

Agency spokeswoman Melissa Matey says the truck was discovered late Friday with its rear bumper up against a utility pole. Investigators say the damage to the truck was minor - and the dead man had no signs of trauma.

The Jefferson Parish coroner will perform an autopsy.

The man's identity has been withheld until relatives are notified.
