NEW ORLEANS- New Orleans police say a 34-year-old man was shot and killed during an apparent robbery attempt Monday night after a family that returned home startled the gunmen.
The Times-Picayune reports Cory Bush was standing outside of his house around 9:45 p.m. Monday when he was approached by three gunmen who forced him inside.
Once inside the home the gunmen demanded cash but were startled when a family members unexpectedly returned home, causing one of the men to open fire, shooting Bush several times.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing.
