Man facing execution has unlikely ally
ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI- A prisoner scheduled to be executed has support from an unlikely source, a man he shot and paralyzed.
Hustler Magazine publisher Larry Flynt was shot by Joseph Paul Franklin 35 years ago, although he is not charged with that.
Franklin is set to die in Missouri for a murder and he claims to have killed 20 other people.
The ACLU filed a court motion on Flynt's behalf claiming Missouri's execution process is too secretive and demands more information be made public.
Flynt also wrote an article in the Hollywood Reporter claiming Franklin's execution is vengeance and not justice.
