Alexandria police have arrested a 24-year-old man on two counts of attempted second-degree murder in connection with a carjacking.

Police tell The Alexandria Town Talk that Taureen Jackson is accused of stabbing two women and stealing their vehicle after meeting them at a bar Saturday night.

According to police reports, Jackson met the two victims and asked them for a ride home.

Police say Jackson took the vehicle and later crashed it.

Both victims suffered stab wounds to their necks.
