BATON ROUGE - Authorities arrested a Baton Rouge man on 100 counts of distributing child pornography after a multi-agency investigation, according to the Louisiana Attorney General's Office.

Investigators charged Albert Doyle Jr., 46, after an investigation by the AG's Cyber Crime unit.

Sheriff's deputies said when they searched Doyle's home they found multiple pornographic images of children. Authorities caught up with him in Metairie and booked him into the Jefferson Parish jail, then transferred him to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison to be booked on the child porn charges.

"When my cyber-crime and fugitive units are investigating and working these cases against suspects, it is crucial to have support and assistance from other agencies. The team mentality saves money and maintains efficiency so that all law enforcement officers are one step ahead of offenders," said Attorney General Buddy Caldwell.

Doyle faces up to 20 years in prison on each count of child pornography if he's convicted. The investigation involved the Cyber Crime unit, Department of Homeland Security, East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, and Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.
