UPDATE 11:43 p.m. - The man that ran out of a drug court hearing after he was sentenced to serve time is now back in custody, according to authorities.

Dennis Caruso ran out of the parish courthouse this morning after he was sentenced to jail time in drug court. Perry Rushing with LPSO said detectives caught Caruso a short time ago south of Walker, but didn't say how they had received the information he was in that area.

Authorities in Livingston Parish are looking for a man who ran away after a drug court hearing this morning.

Deputies say 23-year-old Dennis Caruso "took off running" from the courthouse after he was sentenced to jail for drug charges. He was last seen running southbound on LA 63 near Ohio Street in Livingston, but authorities say he may have gotten into a small black car with three other white males heading toward Eastover.

Caruso is 6' 2" tall weighing 189 pounds and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.

Anyone with information about his location should call the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office at (225) 686-2241.
