Man drowns, car stranded in flood water in Bienville Parish
BIENVILLE PARISH - A man died Wednesday afternoon in Bienville Parish after trying to drive through a flooded highway, according to the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness.
GOHSEP said the car was swept into the Saline Creek.
The Sheriff's Office told the GOHSEP that one man died and a second person is in the hospital.
GOHSEP confirmed the car was stranded in flood water on LA Highway 4, near Lucky.
Deputies say the driver was 75, his wife was in the passenger seat. She is in her seventies. Their identities have not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
