Man dies in French Quarter shooting
NEW ORLEANS- New Orleans police say a man has died following a shooting in the French Quarter.
The shooting happened early Thursday morning in the 900 block of St. Ann Street.
The victim's name is being withheld pending notification of his family.
Police said in a news release the man had been shot in the jaw area while in the driver's seat of a Mustang. The man was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Police say two passengers in the car were not injured. They say both passengers are being questioned about the shooting.
Investigators have not release any details about a possible motive or suspect.
