Man dies after after being shot Tuesday
BATON ROUGE - A man died two days after being chased and shot by unknown assailants before crashing his car.
The victim was identified as Kwemon Davis, 23. He died Thursday. The shooting happened on Tuesday.
Police said Davis was shot and tried to flee from the people shooting at him at the end of Spanish Town Road where it meets North 22nd. He drove about a block before crashing into a utility pole.
Video shot by a WBRZ photographer at the scene showed a mangled car, severely damaged.
Davis was rushed to a hospital where he died, police said. Motive is unclear, officers added.
The shooting was one of eight since March 1st where people were injured by gunfire.
